There is a first time for everything. This day, it was my first Family shoot.

There is a first time for everything. This day, it was my first Family shoot. And all went pretty well. Big thanks to the Giovanni, Janske and the kids for trusting me with the task to freeze a moment in time.

All shot on a Mamiya 645 AF loaded with Portra 160 an Tri-x 400. Scanned and developed by Carmencitafilmlab

Track & Trace backstage filmshoot

Shooting backstage at the recording of Track & Trace, an short film by Aiaiaiai Productions.

Yolande Avé (stylist) asked me to shoot backstage at the filming of 'Track & Trace', a short film by Aiaiaiai productions. I'd Never been on a filmset let alone shooting pictures at one. It was a bit of a challenge to shoot it all on film due to the low light situations but it all worked out thanks to the magic of the Carmencita Filmlab.

Shot on a Mamiya 645 AF with Kodak tri-x 400 and Kodak Portra 400 pushed 3 stops.

Can't wait for the Film to be finished!

Bente's Birthday

The day Bente turned 5 and i took my lightmeter and shot everything on my Mamiya 645 loaded Portra 400. And, ofcourse, everything is developed and scanned by Carmencitafilmlab.

My eldest daughter Bente turned 5 and it was time for a real girls party. So a few of her friends from school came over and i had a good reason to take the lessons learned in Berlin to heart and take my lightmeter and film camera, load it with some Fuji 400h and start shooting.

FIND Berlin

On the 7th of Februari 2015 i had the privilege to attend the FIND Berlin workshop organised by the Carmencita FilmLab led by Jonathan Canlas. After reading his book Filmisnotdead i knew this was the kind of shots i wanted to learn to make.

On the 7th of Februari 2015 i had the privilege to attend the FIND Berlin workshop organised by the Carmencita FilmLab led by Jonathan Canlas. After reading his book Filmisnotdead i knew this was the kind of shots i wanted to learn to make. With this workshop i'm again a little step closer. Had my first run with shooting couples and got a shitload of info about pushing film, light metering and the different rolls of film. Apart from this unique experience the biggest gain are the people i've met and continue to talk and learn from. Below are the results of three days of a freaking cold Berlin.
