Summer holiday in France 2018
After an effortless search for an alternative destination than France for the summer holiday, we still ended up there but had a wonderful time.
In 2018 we made the solid agreement not to visit France during the summer holiday after visiting it way too often the past years. But after an endless search for an alternative we still ended up there. At least we visited Bretagne for the first time and loved it. Rough terrain and beautiful beaches made it a great stay and one to repeat (really).
Continued out tour through France at Île d'Oléron, an island we’ve visited for the third time already and has a great laid-back atmosphere. The last few days we visited Paris with the kids and mostly staid inside musea due to the 34 degrees 😅

Sandra & Rolf Family shoot
I've know Rolf for ages, so it was a privilege to be asked to capture his family on film. We went to the Strabrechtse heide near Eindhoven on a nice pre-summer day and had a great time!

Wedding Kim & Jorgen
Wedding of Kim & Jorgen at The Klub
My dear friends Kim & Jorgen got married a few months ago with only family and a few friends attending. It started with a small and intimate ceremony and ended with a superb lunch at De Klub. I don't shoot weddings normally but was happy to make an exception.
Rhijnauwen, a long walk
A walk around the pancake house in Rhijnauwen
It was the beginning of October when we took a long walk starting from the Pancake House in Rhijnauwen. The weather was amazing for the time of year and i took my Yashica TLR for a spin. It's a lot of getting used to, but lovin' the results. Square framing in combination with Acros 100 black and white film is a winner.
Holiday in France
Our little tour de france shot on film.
Past summer we went on a little tour de France. Starting of in les molières in the north onwards to a little island called 'ile noirmoutier. Then a we had a great meetup with my brother and his family at my dad's house. To end it all with a short stay in Strasbourg. All in all a great holiday with the kids that seemed to last forever (but is already ages ago).

Giovanni Family shoot
There is a first time for everything. This day, it was my first Family shoot.
There is a first time for everything. This day, it was my first Family shoot. And all went pretty well. Big thanks to the Giovanni, Janske and the kids for trusting me with the task to freeze a moment in time.

Bente's Birthday
The day Bente turned 5 and i took my lightmeter and shot everything on my Mamiya 645 loaded Portra 400. And, ofcourse, everything is developed and scanned by Carmencitafilmlab.
My eldest daughter Bente turned 5 and it was time for a real girls party. So a few of her friends from school came over and i had a good reason to take the lessons learned in Berlin to heart and take my lightmeter and film camera, load it with some Fuji 400h and start shooting.
FIND Berlin
On the 7th of Februari 2015 i had the privilege to attend the FIND Berlin workshop organised by the Carmencita FilmLab led by Jonathan Canlas. After reading his book Filmisnotdead i knew this was the kind of shots i wanted to learn to make.
On the 7th of Februari 2015 i had the privilege to attend the FIND Berlin workshop organised by the Carmencita FilmLab led by Jonathan Canlas. After reading his book Filmisnotdead i knew this was the kind of shots i wanted to learn to make. With this workshop i'm again a little step closer. Had my first run with shooting couples and got a shitload of info about pushing film, light metering and the different rolls of film. Apart from this unique experience the biggest gain are the people i've met and continue to talk and learn from. Below are the results of three days of a freaking cold Berlin.
